Our Standards
PCAM exists to give patients and clinics a trustworthy reference point for Pakistani clinicians practising aesthetic medicine — in Pakistan, the United Kingdom, and across the Gulf.
We check current registration with the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council and, where applicable, the UK GMC.
A specialty title (Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, MBBS) is not sufficient on its own, and neither are weekend workshops or vendor demos. Applicants must document completion of formally recognised aesthetic training pathways from credible institutions.
Every verified clinician completes PCAM's free online course series — facial anatomy, complication management, consent, ethics and holistic patient assessment. These modules are compulsory, and passing them is a condition of verification.
We assess how the clinician approaches a patient, not just what they can inject. Applicants whose practice reads as product-selling rather than medical consultation are declined. Most applications do not pass.
Members commit to a written ethics code covering consent, advertising, complications management and patient safety.
PCAM does not guarantee aesthetic results or commercial promises. Verification confirms minimum qualifications for safety — not outcome.
